This tie rod was delivered in a satin finish with “bling†all over it. It fits all years of Rubicon, TJ, XJ and ZJ.
As you might be able to tell…. I needed one!

Left and right odd ends were also needed for replacement.

This rod feels extremely stout. One side has been ground for easy alignment adjustments.

This install is going on the 1992 Jeep Cherokee “Problem Child†It was a fast and easy install. The install on the Problem Child went smooth. Minimal tools tools needed, just a basic wrench and pliers’ job.
The Jeep was first jacked up on drivers’ side and the tie rod ends released from their castle nuts. Then the mallet was used to free the rod ends from the grips of the Problem Child. A hammer was used at one point to hit the knuckle on the drivers’ front wheel to release the tire rod end.

With the grease zerks in place and the entire castle nuts cotter pinned the rod looks sweet. This should help me not do as I do with the stock unit.
Oh yes… also don’t forget to get it an alignment.
