Did another run today. It was me, lilbroII and another friend. Left my house and took doe mill to powellton, then powellton to inskip, then towards the high lakes. Made it to long lake. The snow was flying like mad and was getting deeper fast. No problems at all getting In and Out. Came back through butte meadows and stopped at Bambi for dinner. Headed home down 32 until we came across a focus that had slid into a ditch. No problem pulling it out. We were all pulling away when I dropped my right front tire into a culvert ditch that I didn't realize was there. That's right, I flopped my truck on its side into a culvert ditch at less than 1mph! Everyone hopped into action and helped right my truck and pull it out of the ditch. A caltrans worker wanted us to stop the recovery and wait for a tow truck, but i think he quickly realized we knew what we were doing and he was out numbered! He was kind enough to hold traffic for us and set out flares! Good to be home though!

I know it's late notice, but i wasn't sure if we would be able to do it this year. Heading out from my house this evening and bringing in the the new year somewhere in the hills. Not staying over night but probably won't be back until early tommorow morning (2-3 am perhaps?).

Going Up to butte meadows on Saturday and possibly sunday morning. It's a tradition we have started, going to supervise the Valley folks with the mini vans that are getting Xmas trees! It's fun to watch the ignorance and help out!

This was going to be a run to butte meadows for a breakfast /political /protest thing with some unknown group I am not comfortable with. So we have decided to do a high lakes run on our own.. It looks like we will have 6 rigs so far. We are planning to run doe mill ridge from my house, over to powellton, up to inskip, and into the high lakes area. We were thinking it would be best to leave early so maybe be at my place about 8 on Saturday morning.
