Hey guys I was wandering if it is completely necessary to pull the transfer case and tranny to replace the torque converter?

To replace the TQ you have to seperate the trans from the motor. If you can slide things back far enough to pull out the TQ without removing them... I don't think so.

it's either pull the Tranny and Transfer case or pull the Engine, Tranny and T/C is easyer I would suguest renting a tranny jack to make it easyer.
(Caution) I have an 05 wrangler and I'm not afraid to use it

I tried pulling it back just and there just was not enough room. So ended up taking everything off. Thank you for the replys.
