so we started pulling the old engine out of my truck today. YEAH!!!!! going to post pics in a few. between jack and myself we will keep you all updated on progress. did i tell you how excited i am??? cant wait to get back on the trail again. :thumbsup:

Sad when you are wrenching on the rig and then have to go to home depot to fix the sprinklers!! :fish:

LOL Onk. I was pissed that the sprinkler system was hooked strait to the well with no shut off valve and two sprinklers shooting strait up!!!:banghead:

So with lots of help fro 2000Jeep guy and bros Brett and Ray we got Pattis dead engine out!! All we have to do next is Clean up the other one and change out some newer parts from Pattis.

So heres a few pics of the operation :thumbup:

Theres nothing new to report other than 2000Jeep Guy went back to Montana and We all worked today :realmad:

You need to organize a work day! We have been known to swap out an engine and have the truck back on the road within hours!

Major setback today on engine swap. the other motor we traded jacks motorcycle for will not work. :banghead: its no good. it runs but .... its #### :censored: !!!!! So plan B rebuild old motor. going to make it better than before.

What was the official diagnosis on the old engine? Its just a 22re right? It sounds like you may have lots of parts.

should have done this to begin with :whistle: so we got things going already. going to harbor freight tomorrow to get engine stand. bin talkin to the guy at buds machine shop. he is going to hook us up with some quality work.:thumbsup:

Turns out the moter we got for the old bike is a 21r.:rant:

We didnt even know Toyota made those. Its not in much better shape than Patti's SOOOO rebuild time!!!!

I have had good luck with Bud's shop. It will be worth the rebuild job. The red Yota will run mike a champ for a LOOOOng time after that job.
