Well I bought a 6.2 diesel truck to take apart and swap into my 73 k5. Already hae the blazer in pieces, just need to get working on it. Some people might have seen my crappy blazer. And some might not like the 6.2 swap, but I want the mpgs more than the power.

Nice. I have always want a "full top" blazer. But this body style was only made as a full conv for three years and if you do find one for sale they want an arm and a leg for it!

Lookin forward to seeing it out on the trail. My scout is very similar in that it has the aerodynamics of a brick and the full top comes off. I thought about a diesel swap when getting rid of the original boat anchor engine in mine but I opted for an efi 305 chevy with 700r4 trans. The highway gear really makes a difference with mpg and i still have enough power to enjoy the trails. Let us know how u like it. Good thing is it would be EZ to swap to efi if u want to change later and best of all NO SMOG!
