So, mwilley and I talked and I had to go to his house afterward. This is what I brought home.

And some pics of the interior. Boring I know.

I've been really thinking about the motor situation, head gasket leads to rebuild. Which still is underpowered and no 5th gear.

So, the GOAL is to rebuild 2F, with an H55F, 33"-35" M/T's, 4.10-4.56, air lockers, fancy roof rack with really bright lights on front, custom built front and rear bumpers. Sound good?

The brown looks worse in the person, the stripes kill me.

A few things would have to stay brown for awhile. (Steering wheel, column, dash, e-brake, seat belts, window cranks and door locks.) Guess it would be a good time to see how well the Krylon Fusion paint works.

The only other issue is the FJ62 came with electric windows, so I have square holes that don't line up with the mechanical cranks. Not a big deal, I can figure something out, tweeters or piece of plastic.

I just received a few books.

2F Engine EMISSION CONTROL
Repair Manual for Chassis & Body
Front axle Maintenance Manual (birfield and hubs)
Air Conditioning

Still hunting for a 2F Factory Service Manual

Fishontro,

I just purchased a TO Bearing, and I suggest you purchase this one from EBay from JoeTLC:

http://cgi.ebay.com/...#ht_1523wt_1165

If you order it from JT Outfitters (same place as JoeTLC) the shipping is over $6 more....

Interior fell out.

60 paid me $1.47 for the cleaning out of the bird seed.

I finally figured out how to take the window cranks off and got all the panels ready to swap on. I need to modify the 62 panels by cutting a hole for the window crank and make a cover from the square holes left from the electric switches.

Laid off from work this week, I hope this doesn't become a habit for them, but think it will happen again when winter truly arrives. So, this week is "Me and Daughter Week!" and do cheap mods to the 60.

Trust me, it is worth it.

I get bored easy and Craiglist occupies to much of my spare time. I like to think I am going to find that killer deal before someone else does. In this case, I think I did.

The FJ bug bites with a venom that only has one cure, more Cruiser's.

Needless to say, I bought another one last night.

I'll leave it at that until I get it to my house...Stay tuned, because the next time you see my FJ, it will look much MORE BETTER!!

Gray had an engine fire.

Gray-take what I want, part out and scrap the rest.

Red-make it more better.

Everyone is interested in the front axle....if Rodney becomes uninterested in the front axle, then I am interested in the front axle....

I have a tub that color, as well as a rear hatch....(oh btw, if you are parting it out and sell yours and have a solicitation for another one, then I would like to sell mine)

I am very reluctant to say this....but I would like to know what you want for your trans/transfer....if you dont want to part with it yet, then I can wait, in fact, I am in no big hurry to purchase another one, but think it might be a good idea....
