After hitting a wall with our hosting company GoDaddy, I have moved TH on to someone new. GoDaddy is cheap and the server was reliable, but it was slow and very inflexible. It was a shared hosting account which showed there were 995 other sites hosted on the same machine doing a reverse IP lookup. That alone is why the site was slow.
So now I'm on very powerful server that is split up into virtual servers where I'm guaranteed a percentage of the server. There are a max of 15 websites on this machine. I have full control over the server so I can do anything I want.
Over the years I've been on several different hosts, this being the fourth. I was on Godaddy for almost two years. This service is a bit more expensive, but if I can get the site rolling full speed again, the money from ads should cover the costs again. This was also the smoothest migration I've ever done. The change was fast and I doubt anyone noticed the switch. The site feels snappy and fast again. Here's to the future of TH!

I never noticed the switch, but I did notice the speed increase.
Thanks for always looking for ways to improve the site!
Out of curiosity, who's the new hoster? You can PM me if you want...

It's no secret, the new host is Knownhost.com. They have two data centers. One in Dallas and the other in Los Angeles. I chose the LA location.
I do web design EricLeslie.com
