This new version has been out for some time now and I've been working towards this upgrade. I've tried creating a second copy of TH somewhere else and ran into many problems. I wanted to set it up there, upgrade it, fix what broke and then merge it with the live site, but that wasn't possible.

So here we are. I've upgraded the forum and I'm working to get it themed to match the site. So bear with me, I know it's VERY different. There are many new features so feel free to look around and explore. I know I have a lot to learn.

Also keep in mind that much of TH is tightly integrated into the the forum so things like my4x4 are not working atm and there may be others.

I didn't realize how much I depend on the "New posts" link until it goes away...

Good luck, Eric, I know it's an uphill battle!

Yes, I'm working on the skin so it will look very similar to the board before. I am actually using one that someone else made and will be tweaking it to look like before. Don't worry, this is just the default skin that the new board comes with.

Well, I've installed this skin as the base that I'll tweak to look more like TH. This is going to be a long and painful process for me :P

I'm with you on that one. I'm not much of a computer guru so when I can't easily figure something out I get frustrated!!! LOL

Frankly, I'm very frustrated too, this is not working nearly as smooth as I hoped. I was hoping to make a few tweaks to this skin like I did when I redesigned TH to the current layout. Alas, I still need to figure this out. I'll be working on this until it's straightened out.

I decided to put the default blue/white skin back on as the default skin because I'm going to be making some changes to the charcoal one and I don't want to break the forum in the mean time. If you really want to know what I'm up to, you can change the skin to TH4 and you can follow what I'm doing, but use at your own risk.

When it's working I'll set it back to the default and turn off the blue/white skin.

I like it Eric. I wish I had the computer skills you do. Every time I try to update or mod my forum I crash it. So I just leave it as is now.

Modding the forum I don't like doing because anytime there's an update, things usually don't work right. All I'm working on is tweaking the forum skin to integrate with the TH layout. Unfortunately, the old skin didn't work on the new forum. Hopefully this version sticks around for a while.
