Well.... I got the engine and trans in the bronco yesterday. Just need to stick the radiator and hoses in to start it up. Still need to transfer the clutch pedal and linkage over. But should have it running the morning.

Well after getting it running the morning, I noticed I had a crack frame behind the steering box. I started cleaning it up to find the end of all the cracks. Doesn't look to bad to fix.

I need to come up with a piece of plate steal about 1/4 to 3/8 thick to fix it. ABout 12" by 6". If anyone has some laying around they can part with shoot me a price. I am going to check with the father in law tonight to see if I can use his shop to do the welding seeing as how I haven't invested in a welder yet

I will get some pics of the damage when I get home later.

Yeah, I'm going to pull the track bar bracket and the box and drill and weld the cracks and then plate over it

Little more update...

Got the frame fixed and the box back on.

Also got it to work yesterday and smogged. Just need to go back to the DMV to get my registration.

Also got the 37's under her with no trimming yet. Don't think the will clear totally wheeling though when flexing. Will fix that in the future. Will try to get some pics of it with the tires on it tomorrow if the wife doesn't go into labor tonight!!!

With the wife's due date coming up quick, I knew that I needed to get as much done as possible because once the new kid arrives I won't have as much free time to get the bigger things done.

I guess I learned from TFpets on how to do a build quickly.

Not quite, still open front and rear. I still have a lot of work ahead of me to get all me extras put on.

Winch, lights, bumpers, spare tire rack, CB, etc....

And as for the polka dots XLT. NO. Staying away from those this time. Not quite sure on what color I am going to go.

I also need to come up with a name for her??? Any suggestions?

No, not going to go that extreme with this one. More of a family hauler and wheeler. I want to leave it stock if I can. It doesn't rub at all on level ground with the tires. But I will have to see when I flex it a little. May do a little fender trimming but that is all at this point

Thought I would give a little update...

Haven't done to much in the last couple of weeks since the birth of my son, been kind of busy, but finally got out there the last day or so.

Got most of the dash back together and working. Took it for a drive tonight since I have never tried to drive it at 60 mph, thought it might be a good idea to see how it did..... Not to Great. Thought the stock axles under it had 4.10 but after trying to do 60 I relized it didn't. Kind of a turd to drive on the high way right now. No big deal, still have to swap my axles under so that probem will be taken care of.

That's next on the list to do

Well it has been a month and a half since I updated this, so thought I would throw some more out there.

Got the entire dash back together, all the electronics, and gizmos put back in.

Started work on the rear bumper-tire carrier, I will get some pics of what I got done tomorrow.

All in all coming along nicely
