Well I got a little lazy tonight...I was planning on doing the ball joints and the seals but the cold concrete floor was eating into my sore already worked all day body, so I only got through the ball joints and called it a night...hopefully I can finish the seals tommorow...and as for towing it back from any "testing" I would do, It would only require a tow strap because I actually live on the trail we usually run... :headbanger:

So I am going to pick it up from the exaust shop in a few...decided to take it in this morning because the y-pipe had to be re-routed to clear the front driveline and I had them do a 2 1/2" magnaflow catback on it...that much closer!!

Well today I got the crossmember built (finally)...found some stuff at the junkyard and I have a front driveline in it but it is still a little short...I am going to take it in to be lengthened on monday...I have to be careful drooping the left front or it could come apart...I also have to clearence the yolk on the t-case a little bit...I noticed a little bit of a vibration in 4wd but I used 2 different halves of drivelines so I am sure it isnt balanced...It is actually so little that my brother couldnt even tell but I could feel it in the shifter...going on a "test" run in the morning so we will see how it goes...hopefully I will get up some muddy pics!!

Well we just got home from the "test" run...actually testing was over after about the first hour...after that we called it good and decided to take it to the High Lakes! We only went as far as Spring Valley and let the kids out to play for a while...We did learn a couple of things though...first off the front driveline IS to short..LOL...I ended up seperating it a couple of times...but when it is in 4wd it is awesome...also figured out that the fenders are definetely going to need to be trimmed...as much as this thing twists up, it will stuff a tire into the fender and/or the firewall really easy...oh and it also seems to need a heater core...but we ran about an 80 mile round trip on dirt, gravel, rocks and ruts the whole way and it did very well!!

Testing!! Testing is overrated. :-
Looks good on the trail and sounds like it wheels just fine, too. Thanks for sharing the pics. You're right. It is beautiful there. The shot of all three rigs really puts a perspective on the lift. Looks like a great time.

So tomorrow night I am planning on trimming the front fenders, then I will HOPEFULLY get the lengthened front driveline back on friday...then at some point I am going to empty a few cans of spray paint under it!!

We ended up needing to go to sacramento this weekend so we took the opportunity to take it to prairie city and play on some of the stuff there...but honestly I think driving I-5 through the downtown area at 70 mph was more of a test!! I did come up with a couple of major issues with it though  ...first off the ground for the CB isnt going to work out because it kept turning on and off when I moved my foot wrong...Also one of the mud flaps ended up tearing...the left one I did first ended up bunched up with "vents" at the top...It didnt look so hot so I made sure it didnt happen on the right one...well it turns out those "vents" help keep it from flapping in the wind so much and the right one ended up with a big tear in it...oh well!

The stair stepper...kinda silly really

And then the mud pit...this first one is of the audience taunting me to try it...heck if any of those rigs were gonna get dirty!! I actually got stuck the first time and they were nice enough to pull me out, these pics are of the second attempt when I made it...the way those guys were chearing me on you would think they paid to come see it!! You might also notice the quads in the background...looks like they would rather be doing something else!!
