update-painted the wheels black, replaced the oil pan gasket, still need to do a few more tune up things and gaskets. I think I'm going to pound the dents out the best I can and spray it gloss white and replace the missing trim and polish the chrome.

Finally got another bronco! w00t. :headbanger: picked it up for 600$, a lil rough, but a great runner, needs a oil pan gasket, but nothing that couldnt hold off a few months. heres a few pics of when i got it-

So far I installed the new ranchos the P.O. had gave me with the truck with new grade 8 hardware, cleaned the inside out and installed a panosonic deck and some nice 6.5" 2 ways, took the top off, replaced the plugs and seafoamed the engine. It's running great, I sure hope it smogs! Compared to the 85 bronco I had and the 86 yota, both IFS, this thing ROCKS! I havnt done too much wheelin, but i took it out on a few short trails and was very impressed, even without the rear shocks....It's like a tank. In case anyone cares, It has a 351M under the hood, and came with a bunch of extra parts ike spare u joints, a matching wagon wheel mounted with a 29" tire or so and a full size spare 31" on a steel wheel. I think 600$ for a nice running 78 isnt too bad, do you guys? I drove it from paradise to Redding no prob.

oh yea and I picked up a puppy...

Austrailian cattle dog/border collie mix. 2 months old. Hopefully he will be my wheelin buddy if I can keep him in the truck! lol

I say whatever gets you on the trail is the best wheeling rig, not to mention even them beast broncos came with coilovers and radius arms, a great start right outa the box.

thanks! its my 6th ford. I have had a couple yotas and a acura car, besides that its been all blue oval. They always seem to fit the bill for me. I wanted a full size, sa, v8 and perfered a removable top. That kinda narrowed it down to the big 3 bronc, blazer, and ram charger. All the jeeps and cruisers were way out of my price range. I'm just glad to have something to wheel again! :D

update-

got a flux core wire feed welder, a piece of 2x4" steel and a bunch of 3/32 or so steel plate. I've been pracing on a few scraps of c channel i had laying around. WAs able to get a nice looking bead out of it after a hour or so of messing around on it.
I also picked up a spare tire rack from the junkyard for 6$. I plan to throw some 33s under it soon and hopefully get some 2" blocks for the rear and some spacers or something for the front. The main thing that pisses me off is when i have the top on,or people/ #### in the back it sags, so the 2"block or aal would kinda of make up for that...

where u get your metsal from? i just picked some up from industrial metals.. not too bad, i wanna check around tho. I want to build some supports and a harness bar for my turbo car, but I'm not sure what kind of tubing I need. I would eventually like to cage the sucker.... I'd also like to build a set of tube doors.... :headbanger:
-Justin

edit.. supports and cage eventually=turbo car
tube doors=bronco.
not tube doors on the race car!

sage's son-#### yes!!!!!! can I pick em up tommrow? I have basically a whole day to myself, my lady is workin out at her folks house, and we have plans on sunday to go out to the lake. I'll sling you some cash for em man, just lemme know. You don't still have the u bolts do you?

moto-yes its a front mount intercooler. It has a ihi vj-11 turbo on it now with methanol injection, hi flow downpipe with no other exhaust, lightweight underdrive crank pulley, msd ignition, a ton of other things. I have yet to install the t3 manifold ( i need a t3 turbo for it), standalone engine management (still need to wire it up) and some more goodies. I have ran it out at the dragstrip before, nothing good. It used to be automatic, then 5spd, then on nitrous, now turboed. I won't go back to the strip without slicks or some real big sticky dot tires. The car is competly gutted out, I plan to take it down to thunderhill raceway once i get my t3 and standalone on....prob too much info, but it's been my baby for the last 4 years or so. I'm def proud to have the only turbo escort in Northern california and be know as "the escort guy"
