Asking this for a friend,

He is looking to change the gears out in his yota and was wondering if it is a must to by the expensive gears or are there some less expensive ones out there that are ok. He was told that if he runs the cheap ones then they won't last at all. I believe he going to run 5.29 or somewhere around there. he would like to be able to run 36 at the most.

Me myself, I have never had to change gears so have never really looked to far into what are the good gears and what are the bad ones, and what are in the middle.

Thanks for any input

these are the gear company's that I was referd to when I was asking about them
Sierra Gears, Yucon Gears, Auburn Gear, and Randy'sring&pinion I'm sure there's more I just cant think of any at this time these are all good gear company's but I have been told that yucon's are over priced
(Caution) I have an 05 wrangler and I'm not afraid to use it

He was telling me that cheapest ones he found were from trailgear for about 120 and then went up from there everywhere else

The trailgear ones were the ones he was thinking about running just because that all the cash he really had right now
