Well it's been a while since I have been on here since I have been at basic training and airborne school. During that time my zuk bit the bullet and just had to much stuff that needed to be done and I have no time for it. Well after giving that one to my budy it is time to get another one. I'm thinking I want to run 33's but it will be a daily driver. I don't really want to do an engine swamp so it will have to be gears. I don't really know the effects of running different gears in the diffs or which ones I would need. Any suggestions?

Also I am thinking of doing the SPOA from trail tough that has front and rear missing links and CJ springs in the rear. This should be flexy enough for me and provide the lift for the 33's.

I'm going to be stationed at FT. Lewis, WA so I might take a road trip down to redding some time and wheel with you guys.

How much lower do you think I would need to go to run 33's at say 60-65 mph.

not sure, but you are going to have a hard time getting that zuk up past 65 with 33's, it can be done, but remember you are running a few gerbals under the hood and it will be reeved up pretty high.

i think the 4.16-1 drops the high range 18%.in my old zuk with 33 it got me into the 60mph range(not uphill though)

Up hill is always a challenge in a zuk. I was looking at the 6.1:1 or 6.5:1 but worried that would be to low.

Go as low as you can and leave a few minutes earlier. It is safer, and you will have low gears.

bryans old zuk ran 4.9s in the t case it was perfect on and off road with 33s it would hold 65 or 70 mph on the hwy fine and still had enough power to climb the grades well
