Thank's Toyoder Mine is an 88 I have changed the O2 sensor and the TPS the last time I had it smogged the only way it passed was for the tech to hold the idel right at the top end of the idel scale. I am just looking for other suguestions as to the problem I dont know if it's a throttle body or injector problem of if there is another common problem but the Check Engine light does not come on to check for any codes (the light does work)

Since you're looking for suggestions...
Is the fast idle solenoid connected to a temperature sensor? That sensor may be bad, or the wiring is bad. Sounds like the solenoid isn't getting a signal.

The last time I couldn't find mine I went to the auto part store and looked up what I needed and left... might be a option. Getting harder to do this though being that them books are wrapped in plastic these days... I guess I'm dating myself with that statement :>
