Ive been thinking about it latley, and im gonna start saving up for a toyota p/u or a 4runner, because i can get a job on feb. 16 because my grades will be exccelnt. And im not thinking on working at mcdonalds anymore  just really depends where i get a job first. Anyways im asking toyoder a favor to look out for anything cheep, but i guess it doesnt really matter anyways because i dont have the money, but if he finds like a cheap toyota p/u 85' 22re and hopefully a 5 speed then that would be perfect, i would turn it into a flat bed, and maybe an exo skeleton depends on how it looks. But if we find a 4runner 85' 22re then i would probably put an exo skeleton on that and not all the way around the vehicle though, it wouldnt go over the removable top. Im kinda abandoning the lil lj20 cause that would be to much work and money, i wanna start out kinda rough but NOT THAT rough, lol. So yah, i will try to keep this up to date way more then the lj project.

Plus everyone know that toyotas are better.

Being that you don't have kids I would say the better rig for you would be the flatbed.
Useless text that your reading for at least the first time.

I like my flat bed for a couple of reasons. It gives me a good place to pack all my stuff and when I us it to go camping in bad weather, it gives me a good place to be up off the ground in bad weather.

All of these things are 100% better when in the company of my totally awesome Wifey and super cool daughter! did I mention fire?
  • Days Off: with enough time in advance I can request any days off.

I say get a pickup. They are easier to get your hands on cheap for one. Runners are quickly becoming collectables making them expensive.

I vote pick up.
There was a time when all I needed was my dog, my skis, my backpack, my hiking boots, a sleeping bag and my 4x4 pick'em truck.

If you are going to be wheeling it, I would think you should stick to standard length. 85' seems a little long for trail use. Then again, you could bob it to 83 feet.
