I have been visiting with friends and family for the last few days, and my uncle found a place for me to go wheeling. Its called haspin acres(www.haspinacres.com). This place is sweet. 750 acres of go anywhere, do anything four wheeling :headbanger: . If you cant find a trail, you are ALLOWED to MAKE A TRAIL :headbanger: ! How sweet is that? Part of the owners efforts to control silt on the steep hills is to dig large ditches for the silt to run into. Part of the welcome aboard brief is, "If it even LOOKS like it might be a deep puddle, just stay out of it." They aint kidding. There was about three or four days of rain soaking the ground  . I was listening to what they told me, but I couldnt get anymore over to one side of the trail(to avoid a puddle). So I kept going. About two seconds later the vehicle is almost completely on its side :censored: . There was also about three or four inches of water in the floor boards after I got out of the ditch  . See the photo... My uncle was standing on the door ledge to stop my jeep from totaly rolling over into the muddy water. The trails on this place are easy enough to get into, getting out is another story altogether. Everything is downhill as you get into it. The hills are nothing but slick clay/mud that pack your tires into racing slicks. I had to winch for about 200 feet uphill because the hill was WAY TO SLICK. Trust me... I got a truetrac on the front, and a full carrier detroit on the rear, and there was no traction to be had. At one point, I had to let the vehicle rest against a tree to stop from sliding down hill. It was a fun time, but with such a slick terrain all around it was becoming a liability. More photos will be coming once I get to tellico...

I second that! Cold slithery mud...I've had enough of that for a lifetime. Different strokes...

I'm vacationing in Colorado right now, in about 2ft of lovely powdery snow. I sure wish I had Leroy with me.

Thanks for the pics!

You guys have no idea how happy I am that I did not flop the jeep right on its side. My jeep would probably still be out there right now if I did not have a winch, or had broken something...

BTW... Merry christmas!

Dont worry about it. I went to Tellico instead! :headbanger: BTW... Tellico is OFF THE HOOK (w00t) ! I saw some cool stuff. I saw a jeep flip and roll off of slick rock :o , and spent six hours in the dark trying to get out of and away from school bus :D with two other jeeps. Long story made short... TELLICO ROCKS AND ROLLS :headbanger: ! If you can ever make it... YOU SHOULD GO! Oh, also, in addition to the other trail gear that you normaly take I would STRONGLY recommend taking atleast 5 gallons of gas with you before you hit the trails, and having atleast 3/4 tank of gas before you leave camp. An axe, shovel, and machete are also a good idea. I used the HELL out of my axe/shovel/machete when I was there. One last parting piece of advice... if you dont like bumping/scraping/sliding/knocking your axle tubes/diffs/skid plates/rocker panels... then STAY AT HOME!(Almost forgot... if you dont remove your mirrors, the trail will remove them for you...) Otherwise, it was a blast!
