I have been working on it for about a month now gathering the parts i need to build it. I have done a lot of reading and asking question to get me to where I am. I had it roughly put together early this week just to see if everything was going to work like I wanted it to, and then I tore it all apart to put the final details into it and finalize anything that wasn't quite right.

So here we go...

First off here is the chassis that I custom cut and modded to fit a stampede tranny into.

Then we have the chassis with the axles installed. The shocks are from a t-maxx and the links are custom made out of 6-32 all thread, traxxas ball ends, and sleeved with 3/16 aluminum tubing. The axles and chassis are both from a kit that I purchased. The axles are actually locked with jb weld in the spider gears.

For the body I chose a 72 bronco. Here it is after I painted it.

And here it is all cut with the decals on it.

Now for the tires and wheels. I was trying to just get this thing up and going as cheap as possible in the begining but when I ran across these rims I just had to have them.

Posted Image
And here are the tires I chose.
Posted Image
In order to get them to fit the narrow rims a little easier I cut a little of the foam

ANd here the are on the rims

I am hoping to have it all going in the next night or so. I am waiting on the right nuts to mount the rims on the axles.
I should have some pics tomorrow of it all together or a little closer at least.

Ok, so I finally got my rims and tires on it. I don't have the blue rings yet, they are out of stock. So for now I have black ones. i made a little rock Garden in my back yard to play on. It goes pretty cool.

I went a little more then a planed on with the bead lock rims. i already had the controller and the battery. Other then that it cost me about 350 give or take a little. That includes the beadlocks that were 110.

If you take you time and get most of the stuff off ebay and watch for deals, I was told you could build a basic one for between 200 and 300
