It sure looks nice but for that price you could buy one in NZ, get it shipped back to the US, and probably converted to LHD.

$30K USD is eqivalent to $50K NZD 8| . If you paid that much you wouldn't want to take it off the road.

Looks nice tho'

Cheers

All that bling and you don't get any air conditioning... Sorry, but that's a rip for what you get. I'd rather buy a landrover for that pricerange. I guess you'd be paying for the WTF is that driving down the road type response from people.
I drive an 87' XJ.

Yea it is expensive i would have thought it was a good buy at 17-24K. but i dont think you could bring one in and convert it any cheaper and get a vehicle that is as good as that.

And Eric you cant seriously think that a Landrover is as good as this? LMAO This would eat it alive!

As much as I've heard from Sam about these Patrols, I'd really like to drive one and see if what he's saying is true. It would have to be pretty good for me to pay 30 grand to buy an 11 year old Nissan

Interesting to see people opinions of things when they probably havnt ever driven it or probably even seen it. Fair enough. I have driven lots of 4wds (Patrols, 100 series, 80 series and 40 series Cruiser's, hiluxes, scouts, ram's, yj's cherokee's) and they all have good and bad aspects to them. And i supose that you could make them all as good as each other by swapping parts etc. But, if i was building the ultimate, strongest, most reliable truck it would always be a GQ.

But hey, dont belive me? come and drive a winch truck.

and Lee, i wouldnt pay 30k for that! 24k max

Im not going to start (althought it may already have) but i am certainly not going to continue the "which truck it better arguement"

I was jsut saying its a nice truck ind if you had the money would be well spent. but i under stand you can build another truck for cheaper than the price of that truck. Fair Enough.

This will be my last entry in this thread. I will close it in approx 6 hours so get your last comments in.

I believe that a Nissan Patrol was the vehicle in the long chase scene in Mission Impossible 2. Always wanted to see one in person. Reminds me of a cross between my old 05 Land Cruiser and an Isuzu Trooper. Don't know if the price is too high or not. It depends on it's quality and features. A 1995 Land Cruiser would be about that much.

Of course, no A/C, means no sale in this area. :dead:

I don't think that NZ implied that it was a good choice for an off-road vehicle. Just a good choice in general. Again, if it's anything close to the current Land Cruiser, then it's a quality rig. And I hate to say it, but a new Land Cruiser could eat any of the Big 3 alive. The quality and construction are way above what's made here.

And since we're talking Nissan's, my 330 hp, 400 fp torque Nissan Titan could have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner any of the Big 3 trucks in it's class. Accelleration, handling, towing, features, etc. It's not even close. :D

Couple hrs left. What to say!!!?????

Okay i'll say this. You figure you can buy a fairly new 4x4 of some kind (maybe a little more, but humor me) Some cost 20G's. Okay with those 10G's you got left over you can SAS, lockers, gears, good suspension, tires, and have a more capable offroader in my opinion (like you said everyones opinion) that would run circles around it in my opinion. Although I have never owned one I have seen them on the trails out here in California (Hollister, for you guys) And when the group got to Tank Trap (very hard trail) The Nissan couldn't pull through. He had a lift, locked F&R, and 37's. My friend in a Cherokee with a 5'lift and 33's with stock axles made it through there. Not trying to rag on Nissans Sam, it's just that i don't think it would be worth $30,000 to buy a stock 11 year old Nissan. (Virginajeep, I agree with you).
