Yea, once it is all mounted up and the bar work is on i am going to take it to be sandblasted (pull it off the truck first) adn then get a few rattle cans of black zinc paint.

Looks good man. Nice welds also. About the same as my welds . Nice and strong is what it's going to be

looks strong but i hope you didnt have any cooling problems before cause if you did its going to be worse now :- how much of the grill will the winch block??? just a thaught :read:

It blocks a bit but it will be OK. Radiator is bloody huge and i might put a bonnet scoop on......... Im more worried about how the front springs are going to handle the extra weight.....

Well i got the bar mocked up into place today. It actually sits about another .25" towards the truck but you get the idea.

An update....
added in some extra supports.... the bar now ties into the chassis using 14 bolts (10mm bolts) the thing is bloody rigid!
I just need to grind the bar up now as i have a few welds on the bar that shouldnt be there (didnt have any spare steel to get the welder set up so i had to use the bar its self) and small amoutns of splatter etc
One that is done i am just waiting on the bender so i can do the tube work.

This bar is only a prototype. Once I see how it goes i will build a revised edition that is much cleaner, accurate etc. But so far the basic design is indestructable! (have run into a few things..... still looks the same)
