Ok, So the samurai is at a standstill right now as my daily driver, my 94 F-250 Turbo Diesel truck was falling apart, so its in the shop getting MUCHO work done which you ford guys (fullsize) will appreciate.. so here we go.

First off its getting a 3/4t Dana 44 solid axle, brand new skyjacker 6" springs.. Sky manufacturings Front shackle reversal (3" more of lift) and sky's rear shackle flip (4.5" more lift). Its also getting new bilstein shocks all around plus a stablizer. It's also getting new front/rear bumpers that will be mounted correctly to make it look like it has no body lift. Also they are adjusting my steering box so it steers nice. I cant wait only a coupl emore days and ill have it! its gonna have about a 13.5" lift.. so my 38's arent gonna cut it.. anyone got any 42's? :D

The 44 wont be built.. or even used.. Thats the reason i chose a 44, its cheap. I'm barely going to use 4x4 in my ford since i got the sammi to beat the #### out of. its just my tow rig so basically its gonna get the job done.. if i have to put it in 4x4 the 44 will hold up as long as i dont beat it.

HOPFULLY THE BALL JOINTS ON THAT DANA 44 HOLD UP TO THE MASSIVE WEIGHT OF THAT DIESEL ENGINE I WANTED TO DO THAT TO MY 89 FORD DIESEL 4X4 AND EVERYONE I TALKED TO SAID NOT TO BECAUSE OF THE WEGHT THE BALL JOINTS WOULD HAVE TO SUPPORT :read: GOOD LUCK
to many projects and not enough time or To much time and not enough money.

So far so good. Shes done. I ran into some problems which i think i should share. I had to use a F-350 Steering setup on the 44, because the IFS or 1/2 Ton steering hit the leaf springs. Also Sky Manufacturings kit for some reason the spring isnt long enough and makes the shackle angle like this / instead of like \. So i can feel every bug i run over. Now it gave me a 12" lift now, which dwarfs my 38's so i need bigger tires. If i can get a longer spring to make the shackle angle better the thing would ride like a cadillac. Now as for the balljoints the axle is a 3/4 ton 44.. So i would hope that the outer would hold up to the weight, so far so good though. I'm thinking about trading it off for something else, im not sure. I need a vehicle with a little more room like a bronco or an ext. cab fullsize truck. I have to size down the pics of the finished product.. but heres 1

No i towed my samurai on a dual axle trailer to Cow mountain about 1 1/2 hours north, and to our campground which is 40 minutes on the fire roads there. ... pulled like a charm :)
