I'm hoping to get it trail-ready in the next few weeks. So any runs after that I should be down for.

Take your time my cruiser is down for a little longer than expected.

Thanks for the advise.

What is with the weather!?

Luckily I got all my tools packed inside before the down pour. But this is what I got accomplished today:

I made two new hoops. These ones are a bit taller which will give me more options for mounting these long travel shocks! Got the engine brace built, but I ended up cutting it too short. Anyone wanna share 6' of 1.5" tube?

Yup. 5.0L, GT40-P heads, headers, e-303 cam, FMS 1.6 roller rockers.

EDIT: That's one of the reason I could never get into the whole 22r Toyota pickup thing. I like my Ford v8s. :)

Your all just lucky your rigs don't have the Triton V8 in them  or you would be running to the toyota's.

Well I had some time to work on this during my 5-day weekend. Truck needs to be smogged by next month sometime so I finally have a deadline to get it moving.

Drove it down to my buddy's shop to measure for shocks.

Bought a new portaband. This thing is way nice.

Revision 3 shock hoops done. Leaning up against my new little welding table. Way better than welding on the ground.

Setup at complete droop.

I wasn't really planning on selling it, but I do have a couple guys interested. I've been wanting to pick up an early Bronco for a long time now. But we'll see. Apparently the wife thinks two project vehicles is one too many. :whistling: I guess it'll come down to how bad I want an EB. Or, how bad I want to be married.

I'll continue working on it. If it sells, it sells. If not, I'll still have a badass Explorer. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't give my Explorer up for very many things. But something like this would do it:

I know where a 1969 is that has 27,000 original miles on it.It has been sitting next to a barn for 30 years. But he won't get rid of it.He might trade for an International big rig thou ,he collects them.

If it works don't fix it...If it breaks upgrade it!
