I'm looking to get just a couple of inches of lift for right now. The cheapest solution I can find is getting lift shackles. I was thinking about 2 in longer. Just wanted everyones opinion and any other ideas. Thanks

On other forums I hear everyone saying that they aren't a good idea if over 1". Changing pinion angles, encouraging spring wrap, etc. But what do they know?

I recently bought some perches from "Ruff Stuff", and I saw some good deals on some well made shackles, I'll see if I can find the link.

I believe the shackle on my rigs are 2 inches longer and I'm not having any problems. I would buy some heavy duty one like conn ferr though.

2" shackles will give you appx 1" of lift. The front shackles will change your caster angle towards less caster. I've heard of people installing 2-4' shims to make up for the loss of caster. For the rear, they'll point your pinion up a little more. Anyways, I think you're gonna need springs to get 2" You could buy shackles and weld in a spacer above the spring pivot mount.

An Add-a-leaf would give you a cheap lift. That and the shackles would give you more than 2 inches.

I looked at the Ebay site and there right an add-a-leaf would give you a rougher ride and not as mush flex. Looks like thats a good price on the shackles. I would say go for it.

i would go for the shackles, i have rotating drop shackles and they gave 2" of actual lift as well and i dont have any problems with caster etc.

so 2" lift shackles should be ok.
