$1000 seems like alot for a parts truck, I guess I'd have to see it to have an opinion though.

If all it had was an engine fire, sounds like a good deal. From what you listed, sounds like a lot of extras for future use. How bad was the engine fire?

Your rig looks like a chevy Suburban but it says GMC on the grill.

Offer them $500 for the parts truck and give them a card with your name and number on it so they can call you in a few weeks to sell it to you. If it's a 3/4 ton then it'd be worth more to me. You might try to offer more if it's worth more to you.

yeah it says GMC all over...dash, steering wheel, rear door, body trim, heck even on the title. its a GMC. haha.

also i got a kick ass aluminum dash panel off of like a 78 jimmy today at the junkyard for $4. its in perdy good shape, only one minor chip. there were quite a few burbans but most of them were picked dry. i guess there were a few things i could have gotten but nothing i needed.

will that dash mount right up? i know the radio part is different, but aside from that. one thing im not sure about was the lights/wiper area.

Score on the dash. I'm pretty sure all dashes have the same screw pattern from '73-'91 for Burbons and '73-'87 for trucks. Check out this site for a free parts catalog with exploded views: http://www.lmctruck.com/
