Well the mud challenge is just around the corner.

for those of you that dont know, mud challenge is a new thing here in NZ (this is the first time is has happenend), it is basically the same as mud drags.

run up will be 13' and the pit 60'.

i have entered in the under 32" tire class, so we shall see how it goes.
4wd TV will be there and a local magazine so i will try and get copies to post after the event.

Good luck, and Godspeed, young man. Please let us know all about the media coverage so we can try to see our famous NZ brethren.

That sounds like some good fun!! What speed can you get your rig up to in 13'? I've seen vw powered rails with paddle tires skim across the top of mud before. Good luck NZ bud :luck:

its already turbo'd. time for a blown V8 i think

in reality i just didnt have the chassis, or diff clearance. or horsepower to get the momentum to get out of the hole (last 5 metres) the skid plates and axles were being dragged through the mud, causing me to loose momentum and ultimatly i didnt have enough weight on the tires to keep them driving forward, when i got stuck i could still rev the #### out of the truck and get the tires spinning fast but still wouldnt go anywhere.

but overall i am very plesed with the tires! i ran them with 6psi and they gave heaps of traction

I love the "before-after" signature shots! That mud looks like concrete mix, actually. Thanks for sharing...
