he swooped up a sweet 1972 LJ-20, has a fancy 25hp 2 clynder 2 stroke
fired it up after some hot wiring.

What kind of gearing does that need to move it? I think that's a sweet ride. I love those old lines. Not much room under the hood though. Keep us up on anything you do to it?

the stock crawl ratio is 67 to one!
the tcase is 3-1 stock and the ring and pinion are low

Well, if the engine ever has problems, he could always replace it with a couple squirrels to increase the horsepower. :rolleyes: Looks like it'll be a fun build project.

i baught it from a guy off the skyway by chico i cruzed it around today it smokes alot but thats normal for a 2 stroke it is real low geared for a stock rig :D im leaving it stock and going to fix it up i will post some more pics later hey i also have a funny story the guy i baught it from said you can start it by hand when its warmed up .i was like ya sure dude what ever . so for the heck of it today after it was warmed up i tried it grabed on to the fan braught it up to were the compershion was there and gave the fan a pull AND IT FIRED RIGHT UP (w00t) I WOULD HAVE NEVER BELIVED IT :D I WILL GET A VIDEO ITS TO COOL

I think you should put a pull rope start modification on there. Take the starter off and you will never have to worry about the starter going bad. Just keep an extra rope handy. I think I might have a couple covers from a lawn mower sitting around here you can probably have..... :thumbsup:

well i took it for a test drive and it let a rod go :blink: but the good news is i think i found a place to get parts to rebuild it :headbanger: and i thaught of the pull start idea and it would be real cool to make the pull cord come through the dash so it could be started from the drivers seat (w00t)
