I've been thinking up a better transfercase mount becuase mine SUCKS and the bushing is totaly wasted at the moment
I was just wondering if leaf spring bushings would take enough shock load out of the case

Try this one my dad and I used cab mounts from a peterbuilt to mount a 453 detroit deisel , 5 speed trans and a 3 speed brownie in a 77 chev 1 ton the mounts are two piece and round flanges on both pieces and a steel tube through the middle. at that point you would just have to fab a little to make them work .

I've seen a lot people use bushings like that. Would you keep the stock TC bushing?

That's a pretty cool design. One thing that jumps out at me is that over time the bolts would oval out the holes in the frame, unless you did something interesting with the holes and the washers.

I've seen where the washer is domed, and the hole in the bracket/frame is bigger than the hole in the washer so that the bolts can wobble around (ok, maybe just vibrate) freely.

All this and it would be a PITA to install begin that it sits on TOP of the frame brackets rather than mounted below.

well I built this one, yeah you guys said some bad stuff BUT either way installing it I'm going to have to use a jack to get it in so it won't be that bad
