anyone know what gear ratio is the stock ford diff, all i know is it is the ford 7.5" diff on my truck, anyone know whats the highest gear size i can put in it?

i :read: that if its smaller than like 3.78 than ill have to get a new case to put anything bigger than 3.78, say a 4.10 or 4.56.

also , was wondering if anyone knew what gear ratio is in that diff

I'm not sure what that came with stock. I'm sure MyJeepne can answer that.

Give me all the numbers that are on the tag that is on the dif and we can tell you what is in there.

i dont have my truck with me atm, but yeah once i get it here, ill tell ya the codes on the diff.

I have my truck now, I no that its a dana 28 in the front and a 7.5 in the rear. I broke a cover bolt on the rear diff and now it leaks :( guess ill have to drill it out.

Frankly I wish their site was easier to find parts and I wish he posted prices. I don't like having to call.

The 28 is silcone and the 7.5 is a gasket

Most likely you got 3:73's . In the door jam there is a white sticker has vin # type stuff on it. on that ther is a axle code get the number and we can figure it out. Mine had a L6 it was a limited slip 3:73. and if you need something let me know I got 3 axles laying around.
